CyclistAhead™ is an early-stage roadway safety concept being explored to address driver–cyclist encounters at blind curves and limited sight-distance locations. The project investigates whether a temporary roadside warning, activated only when a cyclist is present, could provide drivers advance awareness before visual contact.’

Potential Future Field Evaluations

If the concept proves technically and behaviorally feasible, future collaboration with transportation agencies may include carefully designed field evaluations to study driver response and placement considerations.
